Stillwater Strong Relief

On March 14, 2025, approximately 200 properties in Payne County were impacted by wildfires with over 100 homes significantly damaged or destroyed. The Stillwater Strong Relief Fund was established on March 15, 2025, in response to the wildfires.

Thanks to more than 1,500 generous donors, Stillwater Strong Relief has raised $550,000.

A task force has been formed to administer and oversee the equitable distribution of these funds through the Stillwater Community Foundation, aiming to support Payne County residents with long-term unmet needs directly resulting from the wildfires. Disbursement will be based on the amount of donations received, applications submitted, and the types of losses sustained.

Now that FEMA has declared an emergency for the Payne County wildfires, the Stillwater Strong Task Force is collecting information with plans to distribute the funds.
