Helping Hands:

A list of agency needs

The Mission of Hope Shelter is in need of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry pods, spray cleaner with bleach, disinfectant spray & wipes, anti-bacterial hand soap, coffee, sugar, creamer, and milk. Items can be taken to the shelter at 1804 S Perkins Road.

Payne County Youth Services is in need of Linens and towels such as bath towels and washcloths, kitchen towels, hot pads, twin and full-size sheets and pillowcase sets and blankets/comforters, kitchen/bath mats, and pillows. These items will be used at the Emergency Youth Shelter and distributed to Transitional Living Program participants. These items can be taken to their offices at 12th and Western.

Wings of Hope is in need of small band bras (below 40” and in all cup sizes), size 5/6 women’s underwear, cooking foil, size 4 pants and jeans, sweatpants size medium and up, makeup remover wipes, trash cans, Clorox wipes, coffee makers and can openers. Items can be dropped off at the Wings of Hope main office during business hours at 3800 N Washington St.
 
The Salvation Army is hosting a very special project and has a goal to put together 250 Easter baskets for their social service office to distribute. They are in need of baskets of medium size, any color Easter basket grass, candy and plastic Eggs. They will be accepting the basket and filler elements until March 13th and will begin distribution through our social service office on the 23rd of March, call Paulette Graham for more information. They are also in need of laundry soap, dish soap, hygiene items, dry goods: hot and cold cereals, grains (instant and whole), pastas, stuffing, box meals, shelf staples (sugar, flour, spices, dressings, cooking oils.) They are also accepting clothing, furniture and household item donations for their new thrift store.
 
Fairlawn Cemetery – Thursday, March 26, from 11 am to 9 pm – join us at The Cherokee Strip as part of your tab will help purchase wreaths for the veterans buried at Fairlawn for “Wreaths Across America” next December.  We also need mulch and Quikrete.  Tax-exempt donations may be mailed to Fairlawn Cemetery, Box 1483, Stillwater, OK  74076.   We need a new shop building, a columbarium, and a chapel – if you or your family can help, we would be VERY grateful if you would let us know.
