Helping Hands:

A list of agency needs

The Mission of Hope Shelter is in need of toilet paper, laundry pods, disinfecting spray & wipes, coffee, sugar, creamer, milk, breakfast and luncheon meats, cheese, & sandwich bread. The Mission of Hope is also in need of gently used household items for our clients moving into permanent housing. (towels, washcloths, dishes, pots & pans, microwave, can opener, toaster, and coffee pot, etc.) Items can be taken to the shelter at 1804 S Perkins Road.

Mobile Meals of Stillwater is in need of regular route drivers and always in need of substitute drivers. Volunteers drive a route once a week for an hour delivering meals to elderly and homebound residents in Stillwater. If interested, call 405-742-5765.

Payne County Youth Services is in need of household cleaning and laundry supplies such as laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish soap, dishwasher soap, bleach, window cleaner, all-purpose cleaner and trash bags. These items will be used at the Emergency Youth Shelter and distributed to Transitional Living Program young adult participants. These items can be taken to their offices at 12th and Western.

Wings of Hope is in need of kleenex-small or travel size; deodorant; dishwasher pods; women’s black leggings; small women’s underwear; Ankle or no show socks. Items can be taken to the shelter at 3800 N Washington Street.

Fairlawn Cemetery needs volunteers and groups to help pick up wreaths from veterans’ graves from 9:30 to 11 am on Saturday, Feb 1, at the cemetery, 1123 E 6th. Put Tuesday, Feb 25, on your calendar for a Mardi Gras FUNdraiser for 2020 Wreaths Across America at Bayou Bistreaux from 5 to 8 pm.  Bring friends!!
